Maggie is now an Instructor and received a K99/R00 grant from the NIH

Two remarkable achievements! Maggie received a “killer score” for her K99/R00 NIH career development grant application and recently received her “notice of award” from the NIH. This transition grant (‘pathway to independence’) provides her up to two additional years of funding before transitioning into a faculty position, which is awarded with another three years of support. Congratulations—these grants are extremely difficult to get for postdocs, and it is truly an exceptional achievement.
Moreover, she has been recently promoted to an Instructor position, which is perfectly fitting and another step in transitioning into running your own lab. Hooray!!!
