Nesrine! Congratulations on a new grant and more!

Congratulations, Nesrine, on two remarkable achievements. First, on a three-year R21 career development grant from the NIH, allowing you to develop an independent research direction. I am looking forward to mentoring you, and your already existing help with mentoring Austin and Lyn in their thesis projects is a testament to your professionalism and readiness for a faculty job. Even more remarkable, you recently competed for a French government-funded position of Chargé de Recherche in Biotechnology for Health. This role is comparable to an Assistant Professor and represents a permanent research appointment within the governmental sector if you choose to take it in the future. Only a select few — eight out of 2500 applicants have been awarded this position! While the prospect of a French institution benefiting from your expertise is undeniable, we would certainly prefer to continue benefiting from your contributions right here. :-)
